In Québec, products labeled as organic must be certified by one of six certifying bodies accredited by the CAAQ. The Directory of Québec Certified Organic Products contains data provided and updated on a regular basis by these bodies. Essentially it lists certified products that originate from businesses having production, processing or repackaging activities in Québec. It excludes certified products from outside Québec. Products from these types of operations are  included :

• maple syrup production
  (maple products);
• animal production (breeding);
• vegetable production (crops);
• specialized agricultural production
  (such as bees and wild crops);
• processed foods;
• repackaging operations for products intended for resale or retail;
• brokerage operations.
